Bird nesting boxes are not to be confused with feeding tables. You don't put food in the hole for the birds. They are for a breeding pair of birds to nest and rear their young. They should be positioned in a sheltered spot out of strong sunlight and prevailing winds, high up (3 - 5 meters high) in a quiet part of the garden.
We make houses to suit all species of bird. Chic-hens bird houses are designed with the welfare of the birds in mind. Our bird and bat houses are made from tanalised timber (approved for birds and bats) and screwed (not nailed) together with galvanised screws to last a life time in your garden. Houses with reclaimed slate have weather proofing below the slate and each house is fitted with a sturdy hanger and opens for cleaning at the end of the season.
